BIOGRAPHY

Alunah come from the West Midlands, UK and formed in the summer of 2006. Playing their own brand of Psychedelic Blues Doom Alunah have played up down the country with the likes of Trouble, Paradise Lost, Witchcraft, Doomraiser, Roadsaw, Orange Goblin, Litmus, Winnebago Deal, Graveyard, Blaze Bayley (ex - Iron Maiden), Winters, Lazarus Blackstar, Blood Island Raiders, Obiat, Toner Low, Taint and other well respected bands of the rock underground (see the live date archive).

 

Their debut EP release "Fall To Earth" was released on CD by Catacomb Records and 10" by Nasoni Records. The CD version is available from the following online stores, HMV, Play, Zavvi, Amazon, Asda, Tesc, WH Smith and the Alunah store. The 10" is available from the Alunah store.

 

January 1st 2009 saw them change their name from Aluna to Alunah, The band will be going under their new name of Alunah on their upcoming release in 2009 - The limited edition split 7” with the Hong Kong / New York based doom band Queen Elephantine on Catacomb Records. Release dates for these vinyls are still to be confirmed.

 

To support the 10" release on Nasoni Records in April 2009, Alunah were due to tour with Solace, but due to unforeseen circumstances Solace had to cancel, Italian legends Doomraiser took their place and the bands toured the UK. Alunah finished the tour with a date with Roadsaw, old friends Obiat and Witchcraft.

 

June saw the departure of their bass player, rather than hold them back Alunah wrote a bunch of new songs and entered the studio to start work on their debut album. July 2009 saw Gaz from Coventry stoners "General" join the band on bass. 

 

For such a young band, Alunah have achieved a lot and hope to achieve a whole lot more!!!
